Structural Elements Inspection

Why checking the structural components of is an important part of your Home Inspection Service

When we inspect a house, we look for structural soundness or lack thereof, with a visual, non-invasive method set forth by the American Society of Home Inspectors, which consists of checking for sagging or uneven lines in the walls, floors, ceilings and roof. We look for cracks in walls or floors, uneven or sloping floors, cracks in the outer foundation walls if they are visible, termite damage, water damage etc.

We also visually inspect beams, trusses and joists to make sure that they are doing their load bearing job properly and have not been compromised by improper remodeling, water or other elements.

These clues to structural issues can reveal a lot about the soundness of your home and our inspection will take the time necessary to best ensure that any such issues are noted in our report.
